It was Argentine Tango’s raw honesty that first attracted Anaïs and
has not let go since. Tango runs the gamut of human emotion
from poignant sadness to delirious joy, from possessive jealousy
to mind-numbing love. It encompasses everything that cannot be
expressed with words. This passion for life and dance is in
Anaïs’s every class and every performance.

Anaïs's dance career began early on with rigorous ballet training.
Anaïs was New York City Ballet's youngest soloist with roles
specifically choreographed for her in Don Quixote and Les Sylphides.
Two years later, Anaïs was made a soloist with the
Metropolitan Opera Ballet Company. After leaving the world of professional
ballet, Anaïs has been in demand as an instructor and
choreographer.

Anaïs was trained by Guillermina Quiroga, Jorge Torres, and
Carlos Cañedo - founder of The Tango Company with whom she
has taught and performed throughout the United States. Anaïs has
also taught tango to a nationwide audience on NBC's LX New York.
She is currently the director of Argentine Tango program at Piel Canela Dance Company and
continues performing and teaching at several of New York's prestigious milongas.
