About the event
Preludio: The First Movement is presented as a single curated evening of staged tango performance and live music, followed by a shared reception and open social dance.
The performance unfolds as one continuous program, featuring two choreographic works—Libertango and La Cumparsita—with two live music sets performed throughout the evening.
Following the staged performance, guests are invited to remain in the theater space for a catered reception with food and drinks, and an open mini-milonga—what we call our socials.
The dance floor will be open to audience members and performers alike, with post-performance dancing guided by a curated playlist of traditional and contemporary tango tandas for the full duration of the reception.
Admission includes access to the performance, reception, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
