Engineers want flowcharts. Physicists want models. AI engineers want training data. Tango has other ideas. After years of teaching scientists, engineers, and researchers, I began to notice a pattern: the smartest people in the room were often the most humbled by a simple walk in close embrace. Field notes from a woman who spent years watching highly educated people discover that walking is difficult.

Sometimes the answer isn’t more subtlety, sometimes it’s higher stakes. A few thoughts on how escenario changes the way we move, listen, and show up in tango.

Tango doesn’t belong to resolution culture. You don’t start because you want to “get in shape,” fix yourself, or reinvent who you are in thirty days. People arrive at tango when something has shifted; when they’re ready for depth, presence, and a kind of focus that can’t be rushed. Tango is not an end goal. It’s a practice: of listening, returning, and discovering what connection really means.
